I'm playing with Spurs and seem to dominate games, yet always end up losing or scoring a very late equiliser at best.

My team usually finish with 7's accross the board too.

I've tried loads of different formations and altering the players too but with no luck.

My players often give the ball away in dangerous areas and usually always get punished for it!

Am I just going through an unlucky period or am I missing any obvious player/team tactic tweaks?

(1) Dominating but no goals and conceding problems - Well, I take it as spurs, you alreay have a decent keeper. Maybe the thing to look into would be better strikers with better finishing ability. Sorbis, Baracite are options you can look into. Baracite being the cheaper of the two.

(2) Giving away balls in dangerous areas - Might want to look at how your defenders distribute the ball as well. Also, look out for problem defenders which tend to dally on the ball. Sell them a.s.a.p. in my view.

(3) Generally, hike up the slider so that the team does not play a short passing game as this means the ball is up in the air more often. But mix this up a bit to suit the opposition.

another thing could be that you have your defenders with too much creative freedom

they may not also have enough passing options as if they are on short passing but your team are attacking it could be that your players are too far up the pitch, if so you ought to drop the mentality a bit of the strikers and midfielderse. If you don't think this is the case you could also put a DM in to link up the play better or raise your defensive line.

If you are creating chances but not taking them it could be down to too attacking play as well! your team will be so focused on scoring they will leave gaps at the back and also squander pocession with long shots (especially if you have set too many players with high on this).
