Now before we start i'm not here moaning that the games to hard, i'm able to over achieve with any team i manage. However i still find the game baffling. My main complaint is the 'shots ratio'. What i mean is why can you get more shots than your opponents and yet they win?
Yes this happens in real life but in FM 2007 it is way to much.
Come you've seen it also... (Your team) 9 shots (4 on target) (oppnents) 2 shots (2 on target) SCORE = 1-2.
Is this really supposed to happen so often?
My theory is it is something to do with diablo prevention. In other words if you create a tactic that consistantly overpowers your oppenents then the A1 will do this to prevent you from consistantly winning.
Now that is a bold claim and suerly i will be shot down straight away by someone on here.
So i need some sort of evidence to support my theory. Hmmm, try this then!

I know what you mean. I often lose to teams who have not had a shot at goal. ( my players decide they will score 3 own goals in the last 10mins so the other team wins 3-2. I find that it spoils the enjoyment of the game for me. I am thinking of going back to FM06 as i found that more fun. Just need to find a good update for it.

The problem is 'WH' that you can never go back. People often think about going backwards but when they do it they find it's lost it's magic. FM 2007 is a good game, better than 06 in many respects but it has some serious issues but then so did 06, 05, 04......

I am also seriously considering going back I don't have 06 as I tend to buy the game every few versions, but FM05 although it had some crap bits like training and media was way more fun overall

my problem is always my gk, in 23 season pre 2nd patch, my gk never got man of the match, not 1. but the ai gk in every team got a min of 3 man of the matches a season..

now with the 2nd patch my gk can't make a save. after 14 games he has had 9 shots on target to save but has let in 13 goals..

i always thought in football if you don't shoot you don't score but not on fm

i love it. they have 1 (one, uno, uns, eins) ON target and in case its misread 1 shot ON target and they score 4 times. WTF SI?
