just what does it do?, does it effect positioning on the pitch and willingness to tackle/close down? if so if you give a player a defensive mentality is it unwise to ask him to close down anyway near often and is it true you have to give him short passing or else he will hoof the ball. i was considering giving bellamy(im liverpool) a defensive mentality as in theory this will make him come deeper to get the ball and hence wont be subjected to losing high balls as his jumpin is poor. i was also thinking if he had a defensive mentality it would give him room to run with the ball at defenders starting that bit deeper. anybody wit an ounce of idea's on how the mentality sliders work want to give their ideas to this?
