I am playing with Steaua and I have transfered alot of great players here but I can't win one stupid game against relegation teams in away. This is realy,realy,realy frustrating I just watch my players, they have alot of skills 17-18-19 and they can't smash a 10-11-12 team.

I play 4-4-2 with 2 wingers with forward arrows. My best players are Jose Sosa, Celsinho,
Pablo Vitti, Dica.




Playmaker is Celsinho (free role) and the 2 target men are the 2 strikers. I hope the game isn't rubbish but it seems stupid that I can't win some easy games. (hoped to win UEFA Cup with this team but Roma hammered me 5-0 on aggregate)
Any help will be highly apreacieted!

Ah, Romania. Sweet league. Played it for hours on FM06 and really enjoyed it. UTA Arad all the way!

If FM players think Manchester United v Watford is difficult due to the fact Watford don't try to score, this is nothing. I've had games where the opposition has been 33-1 to win, and sometimes even longer odds. The Bucharesti teams are far and away superior to the rest of the league. And that means nearly everyone timewastes from the word go against you.

First, check the bible up top. There's a wealth of information there, but a few vague things to help you out.

As the opposition never attack (rarely even counter-attack), you should have forward runs set to often on your full backs and wingers. You can play a deep defensive line, wide and slower passing. This should create vast amounts of space and pull the opposition around. Hopefully it will encourage them out, too. If short and slow passing doesn't work, try direct and quick, or combinations of the two. Need to create space and break them down.

Finally, have a couple of really pacy players to bring on near the end. Even if the guy is technically crap, a striker with 18-20 pace will rule the Romanian league. It may also help to employ a tall (i.e. excellent jumping and heading stats) forward as target man and lump everything onto his head. This should win you so many balls that the opposition will have to change its shape. Once it does that, you should be able to break them down.

Hope some of that helps you. Just make sure you finish ahead of Rapid. I hated those guys!

Untick playmaker and targetman, focus passing mixed, add 2 notches of width and more creative freedom to 4-5 of your front men.

Thanks for the tips guys I think I was a litle harsh it seems that the tactics count much more than the players right? And in my game Poli Timisoara, Otelul and CFR Cluj rule Rapid and Dinamo. :thup: And CFR rule me... 3-0 :thdn:

I don't think it's a case that the tactic rules over the players, but it's like all things: if you don't use your players effectively, you won't win. Quality will always win through, but you have to know how to use it.

By the way, do Otelul still play on the tiniest pitch? I could never create any space against them because the pitch was so narrow.

Ok now I'm mad again, made a pretty good tactic with Celsinho (18 pace 20 tehnique 18-20 at all) striker instead of Pablo Vitti and orders for every player but Farul won 1-0! Damn this ultra-sucks! I don't think you make a game enjoyable if you make it hugely frustrating! (atleast for me)
And I don't know about Otelul didn't watched them closely.
Isn't there an easy difficulty or something cause I can't stand this game anymore.

For the games where you think you should have won, look back at the shots, shots on target, possession and pass completion stats. What have you got there?

passing, crossing stats - weak (25-30%)

Always have at least 55% possesion even in away games. And shots.. I miss alot of chances in every match even with Jose Sossa who has 19 on finishing. (and composure) Wich again sux. With all the loads I made ( :thdn I always have with Farul at least 10 shots and 5 on target.
