Playing as West Ham and have Ashton and Bellamy.
Bellamy is an enigma, great pre patch, awful post patch. His biggest problem is he is either offside all the time or he misses untold one on ones, but that could be down to the match engine.. (oh for an option to round the keeper!)
I'm tinkering around with a 4-4-2 at the moment and nearly all my players get a 7 stat except for these two who are almost always on a 6. So how can I get my best out of them?
I'm trying to get my team playing a short passing, high tempo game with a normal width and a high defensive line. I found a slow tempo with short passing didn't reall work.
Ashton : I have him on the left and he is down as a target man. His ststs are good enough but with target man supply on mixed he doesn't win enough headers to flick on. So I have recently put supply to feet and hold up ball to see if that makes a difference. I have him on an attacking mentality with short passing, mixed forward runs and rare at running with ball. I have him on mixed through balls.
I have my full backs and wingers on crossing to him. Full Backs on mixed crossing from mixed and wingers on mixed crossing on often. I have the left sided players crossing to near post and the right sided players crossing to far post. This is implemented as he is on the left. I do wonder if I am better to have it set at cross to target man?
One thing about this is if you have target man supply to feet, is that what the crosses will do, go to his feet????
Bellamy : He is on the right and has an attacking mentality. I have him on short passing, run with ball often, forward runs often, and rare through balls.
I don't use and BArrows on them.
I just can't get them scoring. Any ideas would be gratefully received.
