Was just wondering whether anyone had major success with an eastern european team ( not including Russian or Ukrainian teams).I'm currently with Red Star, a decent but unlucky team. I got Man Utd , Roma & Galatasaray in my Champions League Group.I only have the polish, czech, slovak, slovenian, croatian & serbian leagues running. Hope you guys got some gems too which would aid me greatly.

Well, i'm out of the champions league but managed to get all the way to the final of the uefa cup against freaking AC MILAN after finishing 3rd in my CL group. Doubt I have much luck despite beating Valencia & Parma on my way to the final. Milan Purovic has been awesome for me..

check out some chileans, they will come and they play great for those types of leagues.

I hane won in 1st season with Partizan Euro cup against Real Madrid.Partizan is better than Red Star,i know that because i am from Serbia.

Good choice. I've played with Red Star b3fore and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It helps that they are my fave Serbian team and that I've been to the Maracana twice but anyway...

You have somew good players in your squad but every year the ones I knew get les because they are being sold. Dejan Milovanic is still v good ans I think you have Basta still. You want to look for South Americans and good (/young) homegrown players. Its been a while sorry and I can't think of specifics.

Czech isnt Eastern EUropean

neither is Croatian but still i know most ppl think we are so i was with DInamo in the quarter finals of the CL and i was playing as good as the biggest teams in Europe at the time...i could beat anyone.

Also, have a look in South Africa too. Some great players there, particularly Siwahla from Ajax CT and Lebohang Mokoena.

Technically they are, since they're in the east of Europe.
