I consider it cheating too. Whats the point! Much more fulfilling getting young talents on your own opinion. I know some people that say they are against it use it and like to show off all the great regens they got in just the first or second season. I mean come on! I only get a few every 5 years who really have potential. Then again my scouts are crap so....
Not in my opinion... in real life: all football clubs have scouts. if a scout gives a manager good feeback about a player the manager would then check the player out for himself. then the manager decides if they want the player or not. also, its up to a manager to appoint scouts. smaller clubs have fewer and poorer scouts also.
in the game it should be just as it is in real life. this is why i'm a fan of player masking. you should not be able to view every players attriutes until you habve scouted them, especially for players outside your continent in lower leagues etc. fair enough, if you are a scottish manager you'll know all the attributes of players in your region, but not so much about players in the swedish 2nd division etc.
in conclusion - scouts are part of fooball so keep em in the game!
i wouldnt say it is because what are you lot doing at the moment on the forum? Official wonderkids and under 17 thread, it's just like fm genie scout but as a manual. Also, irl wouldn't managers see statistics of players online or football guides? Same thing really
