I am having a problem with the game which is frustrating me. Sometimes my better players at 6 months prior to contract expiry refuse contracts offered by me and accept contracts with other clubs leaving me less one player and with no transfer money from the club that has poached them. They then continue to play for me until the end of the season when they pi55 off. I know nothing about how player contracts work in real life (or it seems in the game). Is there anything I can do to protect myself from this or is it just the way it is?

Has anyone else had this problem?

Poached? I prefer them grilled or fried.

monkey thanks for the advice.

If grilled I prefer the chianti but fried players need a stronger flavour in nice Bordeux Cabernet or a burgundy.
