New into the Conference N/S scenario (and still surprised by its levels of crappiness), I set to choose the less crappy amongst the 'jewels' I have in.
13 matches into the season and some pre-made assumptions aren't really working as I suposed.
Yes, the team isn't performing that bad.
And yes, we've even won some matches away.
Why am I saying this guy has me crying into tears then?
Well, you know?
He is our first choice striker (albeit slowly dripping into the bench as a freebie has joined us).
He looks quite as the standard of the league. Has played 9(2) matches even.
Alas, he hasn't scored a goal...
He couldn't score in a brothel!
In fact his goal tally is -2 goals in 10(2) matches now.
-2!!!!???
Yes!!
I decide to give him his last chance on the FA Cup (or was it Vase?) 3rd round fixture...
Not pleased with the low quality of his late displays (and perhaps frustrated because the oposition keepers deny him the glory) he decides to try a different approach now.
He resorts to bang the ball into his own goal!!!
2 frecking times in 3 minutes!
Enough said.
I'll only add I'm doing a Kostis with him...fine - criticise - demote to reserve - special 100 km jogging sessions to punnish him... ad aeternam!

I think this is just an example how FM is mirroring Real Life. Match in the Dutch Premierleague ended 5-0 yesterday, first two goals were scored by the same player. Too bad for him it were both own goals
He has seen his contract terminated by mutual agreement thing.
I should perhaps open another topic for that, but I feel that the forum is already too clogged by weak topicsso I'll post it here:
I went to the finances screen before terminating that bloke's contract to see if I could afford the approximately 10k he was asking to sod off (he was on 350 GBP/week for the following 78 weeks and didn't attract the attention of other clubs).
To my surprise, not only were we in the black, but we also had been making steady profit all the season (about 2.5k/month). And this with a 40 men squad  (even though I must add that wages had been kept under the limit all the season).
Are other LLaMas around also finding that the financial side is better now? (I know that in 03/04 I would have lost 5 grand a month easily despite being below my wage allocation)
