I finished my first season a creditible 7th place and this season I was made 8-1 for promotion. Woohoo! I thought. I have now played 4 games, lost the first to a penalty after pulling from 2-0 down to draw level. The second I won, The third I lost 1-0 to a penalty and the fourth, guess what 2-1 the winner being a penalty. Anyway getting to the point, is it possible that teams try to con the referees into penalties against sides who are better than them. Each time as well the linesman has awarded the penalty not the ref. I just wondered if anyone else experienced this or is this the true joy of LLM I have been longing for? Or is it a bug?

I think the bane of my life is bad spelling, but penalties probably come fairly close.

It's a bad run of luck, I'm afraid. Sometimes you lose a few games in a row courtesy of SuperKeeper, sometimes it's penalties.

I find these things tend to even out over the course of a few seasons.

I conceded another penalty in the next game so Ive tried a different tactic and.......

It worked... 2 games 0 penalties. It was annoying at the time though.

You need to play some Romanian teams. I won my 2nd round cup tie 2-1.

On penalties.

It actually went to sudden death.

It was so bad it was embarrassing.

The good news is I stopped conceding penalties. Hooray!! This was achieved by a tactic change. The problem is now that I just concede goals. Bottom of the league, 1 win, 15 games played. Oh well, the fans and board still like me.

One interesting thing is I got a media question asking me why we seemed to be conceding a lot of goals and another on why our form was rubbish. Credit to SI as I marvelled at this and thought what a great touch. Oh well back to struggling!
