I got promoted with Aldershot in my first season thanks to a couple of lucky signings I guess. After the season I turned down a couple of offers (Tranmere, The Dons) just to see how "my" team could cope in the 2nd league.
I was hoping to get some cash for new players but the board didn´t give me anything despite the first heroic season with promotion!
4 games into the season I had my 4 best players out injured (3-7 months!) and my goalscoring machine out for 8 months. I had to sell a very promising (well...for Aldershot anyway) midfielder as I hoped to get money to sign a replacement or two. I got 6.000.
Nine games into the season Aldershot is in a shocking second place! Do not ask me how because I´ve been outplayed and outshot in every singel game but somehow I´ve managed to get a late winner! I suppose it´s just a matter of time before my luck ends...but I´m having a good time right now anyway!
