I don't mind the cups, to be honest, although i don't take them to seriously until the later stages, it's then when I start to think about winning it. Mind you, the last cup final I got to (good morning, Clan B people!) I got humped 3-0 off a lower league side.

I field my best team possible whether it be a cup game or a league game. Perhaps that is my problem, but some silverware never does the old morale any harm, or the kitty.

I personally prefer the cups (sorry all.....)
Rather than my crappy club try and get ideas above their station and aiming for leagues beyond which they can realistically cope with, I like a cup run to boost the coffers.

The club that wins the FA Trophy gets £50,000 for their trouble, and that's just from winning the final. In getting to the final from Rd 1 nets you another £40,000 plus, so its cups for me every time.

I like Cups and i will try to progress as much as possible, espeially so if the league isn't going very well.

Cups are instant economic relief.

That previous statement being made, I also must admit that I could embark in a folly Cup run (or try) whenever I see my economy is worst than the political situation in Ukraine...
