Poor form after Loss
HOw do you guys battle poor form after losing to a big team, I was recently thrashed by Southampton in the 5th round of the FA cup 7 - 0(I play Exeter) and the next three games it was all I could do to get my team on the pitch let alone win a game

Simplest, and most important, explanation is that Cups suck ass.

You don't, and that's why Cups suck.
You play your top team in the Cup, doesn't matter if you win or lose...win, your players are knackered, lose, your players are demoralised.
I always play has-beens, never-wases and bairns in the Cups and sometimes we only lose one game after.
Cups suck ass...and don't let any Greek blokes tell you different.

I play my regulars. I win a lot of money playing cup games. in one season I took exeter for insecure finances to secure... i know in part it was because of winning the LDV Vans, the little FA cup, and some other small cup.
I think cups are worthwhile for that.. I mean before I got murdered by Southhampton I was the Giant Killer in the Fa cup...

I've just drawn Marseille at home in the 10th round of the French Cup. In anticipation of a good turnout and a fat wad of cash, my reserves and U-18s are undergoing a far from rigorous training regime, wherein they have to see how quickly they can pick the ball out of the back of the net and take it back to the centre-circle.

IIRC it's still 2 rounds from the quarter finals. 14 rounds in total. French National teams don't even enter until about the 7th round.
I believe the English FA cup would be similarly long if all the qualifying rounds were counted as actual rounds as they are in France.
