Ok so I've scouted Santa, a player who hits decent from around christmas.

My scout says he would be a good signing.

I bid, and get to offer a contract. at which point my ass man say he's not worth signing. so I walk away, and withdraw my bid

Christmas form is still poo, go and look at Santa again. offer again get to contract and my ass man now say 'he'll be a good signing' changing his tune.

Not scouted him again or anything, just withdrawn transfer bid, and then offfered a new contract at a latter date.

this has happened a couple of times when I go back to sign a player my ass man thought was poo at first glance.

Bug or just dumb @ss staff?

Depends who you trust more, I guess.

I tend to believe the AssMan over the scouts in the majority of cases.

depends who has the best judging player ability and judging potential ability stats. As a general rule, I like my ass man to be good in the management and coaching stats, whilst my scouts are the ones who give me judgements on players!

Got to say I trust my own instincts rather than the Staff.

The Scouts find the players, reveal their stats, and I make a judgement based on that...though I tend to end up with a squad that's on parity with the crowd numbers most weeks.

My CM3 "Sign everyone with *** and above" mantra is now obsolete as FM doesn't bring up many starred players

Really? I have pages of starred players? I thought you couldn't use that mantra as you'd be signing too many players--ok, right, so that would never happen, but....

I got the day off, Devon. They 'phoned me at 06.30 and asked if I'd mind coming out Wednesday instead

I'd bloody showered and was about to go up for the car...but it was frosty and freezing so I didn't complain too much
