Ok, so we know that part time contracts don't really work right, but in the interests of realism, I want to use them anyway . My question for you lot is what per week would constitue a basic living wage in the UK? I know its dependent on the area etc., but just in general. My thought is to have a point below which the contracts offered become part time. After all, how can a guy survive on a full time deal at £50 week unless he lives with his mum and dad? My thoughts were around £180/week and up would be acceptable for full-time deals, but I really don't know . . .

Part time/Full time and living wage in the UK Post #2
I have quoted an article elsewhere from the manager of League One (and in administration) Wrexham. He says that the average player wage at the club are on about £1,000 p/w. Use that as a guide.
He also said that that's the highest earner... and that he has 5 or 6 YTS players on 90 quid a week... make of it what you will. I doubt there are many conference footballers on a grand a week though?
