Tell me about it.
i remember a game on one of the older versions, back when i think there were 16 countries to choose from and you could have em all as background and the game would run fine. i travelled through all of them, playing as some of the worst teams in the world and trying to help them avoid relgation from the lowest leagues you could have, which was usually an impossible task as they were often in need of 20 points from 7 games etc. it was enjoyable tho and i think i managed to save about 3 teams in 20 years getting relegated with all the others. sometimes id get relegated twice in one year by getting relegated in europe then going to south america and getting relegated there. im still surprised to this day why it took me 20 years (game time obviously) to decide to hang my sheepskin up. i guess i was just enjoying it so much
You're losing sight of the "realism" aspect of LLM, if it was ever there.
How realistic is it for a manager to hop from country to country (16 was it?) getting Teams relegated then moving to the next?
You get guys (Big Ron, Alex Smith) who take on lost causes because of their expertise in keeping Clubs in the Top Divisions on a shoestring, but they're generally in the one country and their reputations would be non-existent before long if they kept getting relegated.
thats why i had to keep moving to different countries, i couldnt get job for love nor money so when somebody did offer me the job i had to jump at it no matter where in the world it was, and it usually involved a club so far into the relegation zone it was near impossible to save them.
