I'm manager of Woking F.C. and have been so for 4 seasons. In that time, I have been promoted to league 2, relegated back to Blue square prem, and promoted back to League 2. In all that time I have not been able to get a parent club.
A couple of my mates are Woking as well, and one of them got Chelsea as a parent club... but we think that is beacuse he put his favourite club as Chelsea, and mine was Woking.
I have requested a parent club about 20 times in total.. they say they will consider it but then always refuse. I have managed to get Team Bath as my feeder team but to be honest that is pretty useless.
What I want to know is if there is anything I can do to increase my chances of getting a parent club.. e.g. finances or something. Beacuse I would love to get more of a chance of some quality loan signings! Cheers for any help
I got the same as Brighton they are always positive but they can't find a club to link with. I got Le Havre in France at the moment but I would like a domestic one aswell.
I have a similar prolem, i managed to get cardiff as a parent club for Torquay, but since then they cannot find another, but the best i could get as a feeder club was Thurrock!(based over the other side of london!) and consequently nobody is interested in going on loan.
This was similar in 07 when it was introduced and hopefully will get a fix when the patch is out - what i dont get is how these features de-evolve. It was fine come the 2nd patch of 07.

Got the same thing when I asked for a parent club with Worksop when starting Dafuge's challenge. Bit frustrating...a few loaned players from a higher level would be really useful to keep me up. Haven't had a chance to ask again, but glad to see I'm not the only one with this problem.
As a struggling Blue Square North, I asked for a parent club 15 games into the first season. The board said they'd consider it and came back a couple weeks later with a shortlist of candidates: Aston Villa (1st in Prem at that moment), Birmhingam City (20th in Prem at that point) and a Championship team. It ended up B City who immidiately sent me a DC and a Striker.
