Since the 8.0.1 patch, I've noticed that my central midfield players in particular seem to get booked almost every game. Having posted about this before, the consensus seemed to be that this was a known issue. At first, it left me feeling frustrated, but resigned to continuing my Man. United save as best I could.
However, as often happens to me, I eventually tired of managing a team I know so well in a league I know so well. I wanted a new challenge. I remembered enjoying playing in Russia on FM07, so I started up a game as Spartak Moscow. What I noticed immediately was that the yellow/red card situation that I grudgingly accepted had to be shrugged off as Man. United was even worse with Spartak! And the AI teams suffered as well. It was crazy. Red cards every game.
So it got me thinking. Does the bug affect some countries more than others? Has anyone else noticed this problem? Have SI commented on this and said it will be looked at for the next patch? Indeed, is it genuinely a recognised issue? And, does anyone happen to know any leagues outside of the major European powerhouses where the bug (if we accept that there is a bug) seems not to rear its ugly head?
I still have my Man. United game, but I want something different now. And I don't want it ruined by the insane number of red and yellow cards I saw in my brief flirtation with Spartak Moscow.
I don't have such a problem playing in spain. The only thing I dislike is the fact that players on easy tackling are more likely to get carded than the others.
