Whats the best way to get players to pass the ball in terms of:

a. Tactics (individual/tesm)
b. Attributes

Reason I ask is i've got a brillient striker, scores tons of goals but is very blinkered. A quick pass or cross to the other striker would be the best opion instead of a shot.

Note he's set to run with the ball, no long shots (although capable of doing so) with mixed crossing

Is he set to often for forward runs? This sometimes means because he is looking to get in on goal he will not look for the pass.

Also is he set to play through balls or not? Otherwise he would then look to if hes not dribbling crossing getting in on goal more likely to play a pass backwards or sideways to keep possession.

Mixed forward runs, rare through balls. I've tried all setting of forward runs as I have run with ball but doesn't appear to make much of a difference. If you sit and watch the game I'm thinking pass it, PASS IT, idiot/BRILLIANT GOAL,
just that he should have passed it as my othe striker is pretty good to and he does pass the ball in simialar situations.

What I'm really after is a passing guide.

Whats his team work attribute like? A selfish player is much less likely to pass, even if it would be the best option.

Try setting try through balls to mixed and the player mentallity to normal(attacking makes strikers take shots faster.) I've always played my 2 strikers this way and i am using man utd with tevez and rooney up front. Sometimes when rooney is 1 on 1 with the keeper, he pass down to tevez with an open net to tap in.

Maybe my strikers has high teamwork to so they would look for a better option rather than try to score.
