Despite following the instructions aforementioned I am still unable to play the game on my new laptop, acer aspire 5715Z. I have tried everything possible, including downloading the demo and trying to transfer the graphics.fmf file, downloading the latest java update and graphics drivers, you name it. Is it a case that some vista users will simply not be able to run the game until the new updates come out later in the year. I am seriously considering reverting back to XP. Please help!
what are the rest of your laptop's specs? and when do you get the white screen?? when you first start the game up?? personally, am running on vista, have been since it first came out and havent had any problems at all with this version, or with fm07...
thanks for the response guys. Ive tried downloading the patch but to no avail. When i install the games it always says installed but with some errors. When I try to run the game(tried as admin) it goes through the advertising pages but the start menu page is always white with the words 'load game' in the background. the usual red skin is nowhere to be seen?? Please help im havin fm2008 withdrawal symptons! thanks
hi, i also have the white screen problem on vista and i have a brand new packard bell easynote laptop. when i start the game there is no red skin which there is meant to be, instead it's just white with the words load last game in the background, but of course i haven't started a game to load. does anyone know how this can be fixed?
Guys - if you look at the top of the forum, there is a post called "Having problems with Football Manager 08? Before you post, please read" or something along those lines.
In there, there are 3 potential solutions for this issue.
