I did a search on 3 man def's, and got some results, but my problem is I'm not sure whether they were for fm2006 or not - I need tactics for fm07 patch 7.0.2. Another thing is that I'm not much into abbreviations, so terms like "ttb" mean nothing to me.
The problem in a nutshell is that my defenders seem to have a hard time coping with deep passes and with keeping the attacker from running past them.

A while ago i had a 3-5-2 formation that i thought worked well, it was good defensivly and build on a strong defence to launch counter attacks at the flanks. To get my 3 man defence working i built it so that two of the defenders acted more agressive in terms of defending, they had higher closing down and sometimes i let those two man mark the oppositions two forwards. The middle defender in the 3-man defence had more of a sweeper role, staying behind the other two to clear long balls over the defence and act as cover if the forward run away from the man marking defenders. The "sweeper" defender had much lower closing down and lower mentality then the two central defenders on the sides.
Hoped that helped you in some way, if there are more you want to know about specific settings, jsut ask.
