Well i belive that the are two "schools" regarding the closing down on the defenders. I personaly have the closing down on the central defenders low, one on 3-4 and another on 5-6. By playing this way they don't put pressure on the players high up the pitch and dont risk to get caught out of position. Reason why they isnt on the same settings is that i want one of them to close down first and the other to provide cover if he loose the ball or miss the tackle. I have been successful with this, but it perhaps is because of me using a high closing down dmc infront of them as protection.
The other way of having high closing down central defenders i havent tried too much to give it a fair description. Perhaps someone else can fill me in on this one?
But it all depends on if you want to defend high up tha pitch or not, and if you play a aggressive defence or more of a stand off defence.
Hoped this helped you in some way. /Zenith
