ok after years of borrowing someone elses tactics i finally looked at all the thread advice and have created my own......all seems fine so far except for 1 thing
my players dont seem to want to follow my instructions for corners
i want to use the near post flick/cheat everyone seems to talk about
so i have the best header on near post flick a good header challenging keeper someone attacking far post etc.....team instructions are to near post but when i get a corner my taker is spraying them to the edge of the box or short option and no player is tsaking up the positions i have asked them to
im using the latest patch and wonder if anyone else has noticed anything like it
Are you setting your corners to "Near Post" and your best header on "Near Post Flick On"? Are you setting the correct players(stronger foot) on the correct side? Still works for me, I think.
What's your creative freedom like on your set piece taker and on the guy whos flicking the ball on?
If they are on much there is a good chance they will not listen to specific instructions on set pieces.
If not that, the only thing I can think of is that your corner taker doesn't have good corner stats, or the man at the front post doesn't have the aquired stats to flick the ball on. It's not just about heading, you need jumping, bravery, anticipation and positioning.
yes i have double checked that best headers are in the correct positions.....corner taker is the best i have for each side etc etc......didnt have this problem until i started a new game with the latest patch....never mind i will persevere and just let them get on with it as it seems to be getting the desired results from set pieces
