I have a question. Does anyone else think that setting mentalities to the DC and adjusting the D-line is the same thing? I've noticed that despite playing a deep D-line if you set your DC's to about 10 they will still push up, sort of.

In my opinion the DL kicks in when loosing the ball/defending. If you want your defence/team to fall back and establish a defence set it deep.

You have correctly observed that a mentality of 10 for your DC`s will lead to them positioning themselves further up the pitch.

If you want your DC`s to position themselves more defensively give them lower mentality.

DL and mentality are not the same thing. But works with eachother.
