There are many problems people encounter on FM 2007. Many people struggle away from home and there are many threads and theories how to counter this and I, for one, am now happy with how to play and be sucessful on the road.

However, the one issue that keeps coming back to haunt me is the games wheer the AI park the bus in front of the goal and no matter what you do you cannot break them down. I find this the most frustrating part of the game and I'm sure many will agree.

There are obvious ideas as how to overcome this, eg increasing width, farrow's, more forward runs etc but what I'd like is for peole to post more specific ways they have found to deal with ths problem and have a thread devoted to this subject so don't haver to here those fatal words in commentary any moer!

Hope people feel this a necessary issue and are willing to contribute.

It is a good point and one which has caused many a gamer some headaches. I up the tempo, move the d line up also the team mentality must be attacking. Go wide, and plenty of forward runs, and low time wasting should do the trick.

This happens to me alot in the swedish league, actually what I do (most of the time) when they park the bus, is play defensively and hit them on the break (I also play wide), give them a taste of their own medicine.

Games usually end up 1-0 or 0-0 and occasionally I get a quick one in the beginning of the game and then pile on the pressure, especially if their attackers are slow.

Though my results might be purely due to the lethality of my strikers...

Try fiddling with the time wasting option to try and make players with bad decisions come out to close down you players, might open up some gaps...

That's generally what Barca is doing IRL when facing inferior opposition like real madrid and the likes They play the ball around in their backline and central mids to make the other team push up their midfield and then cut through it.

Actually I remember seing this alot in FM06 when playing with high time wasting and technical players usually though when trying to kill the game, but it might work, I'm off to try it

Tried my time wasting idea, did not really work out since it effects the whole team, so basically it just went from watching paint drying to watching paint drying slower....

My strikers lost possession due to dwelling on the ball, my wingers did nothing, the only player doing something was the AMC setting up plays that none took advantage of, a boor 0-0 again.
