I got a bit cheesed off with answering there "how do you think your team will perform today"
If my answer was basically "if we play at our best we should win". Some of by players are biting at the bit' others are nervous.
If I say "we should win this", the PR from the majority is nervous.
I decided to say "no comment", but what I have read on the forums lately it is a very importent part of the match ahead, if so how do you make your players up for the next match.
Sorry if don't make much sense but I'm kinda switching me head to the telly as spurs are 3-1 up against chelski and its a cracker of a game.
Sorry to define what I said is it an important part of the game to reply to the press with the correct answer,in the pre match interview, as for the last season and a half I have been saying "no comment", as I got fed up of cheesing certain players off
The trick is to pay attention to your scout reports on players personalities before you buy a player. If your scout says they will have to do a lot of adapting to fit in and you go ahead and buy them then you find yourself in the situation you describe.
Seems to be 2 options
1. buy the best players you can find and dont use media comments or manager mind games
2. buy players who may not be the best in their position but gel well with the rest of the squad. Allows you to make full use of mind games/media comments and better use of tutoring youngsters (try getting a profesional personality to tutor a light-hearted personality and youll have big problems for example)
Hmm, my time wasting idea did not work out really as it works for the whole team, in other words my strikers lost possession due to dwelling on the ball...
Hmm I have always ticked no comment. Doesn't make much difference to me cos it maintains the status quo. I'd rather the status quo remain unchanged than to go mess with it. Personally I never really got the hang of it in the first place
