Hi everyone im in need of some advice in a few areas if anyone can help me out id be very greatful, right here we go then.

When i play a 4-4-2 long farrows i like to play with 2 dm and im having problems with the passing in my team, i have tried slow and short passing but had no luck i was looking at maybe going for a quick and direct style but not sure how to set up my team settings? any advice there by the way im villa at the mo.

secondly im not sure how to set up a big man little man combo upfront do u give the target man a high ment than the quick striker which ones should have forward runs i really dont no if some one could help me out there id be so greatful.

Lastly the closeing down side of this is buggin me at the mo i have my 2 def mid on ralerly cos i want them to hold there positon but the oppostion are still getting in behind is it better to play a deep def line when u have def mids in front of the bk 4?

if anyone could help me out with any of this i would be truly thankfull

I set up with FS having a higher mentality than the TS and with high creative freedom and forward runs often. The TS is set to through balls often low creative freedom and rarely forward runs.

Personally I play closing down rarely even though I have a high workrate team as I find it more successful to keep team shape and let the opposition make mistakes. Although if my scouts say the opposition like to play a possesion game and I dont think they are particularly technically gifted then I will close down often (whole team)

Defensive line is set according to the opposition striker/s. If I think they have a TS that will cause us problems I go high or if the FS is main threat then go deep.

think about having one DM as the defensive one with a lower mentality by one than the attacking DM. The find a DM with some passing and long shots to be the attacking DM, find a strong good marking good tackling that controls the pace as the defensive dm
