Thread: Same old Same old

It seems to me that there are lots of people making tactics based on 4-2-3-1 using one striker and two advanced widemen. I fell into this myself because it was easy to create a succesfull tactic like this.

It does get boring however and playing with one striker sucks.

But I haven't seen many other examples of tactics that differ greatly from succesfull ones such as BigD's.

Are there any out there?

I've been trying to create a 4-3-3 formation that has a target man who drops deep with a barrow in the middle two pacey strikers with larrows and rarrows out from central striking positions. In real football this could work I'm sure of it, but i cant get it too on the game.

Any suggestions, its driving me mad!

Er yes because you see loads of teams playing this way IRL don't you..

Thats why i said 'could' work clever di*k. Maybe its the next step in tactical evolution and I'm just ahead of my time, how'd ya like them apples.

I'm trying to come up with ways of beating the match engine on the game not IRL and thought this style would be worth a crack.

Most of any of the success I've had has come with 4-5-1, but i hate that formation, I would love to be able to play 443 or 442. Its always the way in FM, every year there's only a few formations that work, I think it was CM 01/02 that unless you pleyed 3 centre mids you couldn't win!

I have had some success with 4-4-2 and 4-4-3 but it seems to be after 10 games it stops working! I'm using Croats 4-5-1 at the moment and It's actually lasting!

Tonights the night, i'm gunna create a 5-2-3 Wing Back formation or a 4-3-3. Please god let it work

Ps I'd love to be able to play 443 too. Fitzer are you bobby robson in disguise??

Right I've been trying to get this working. I've picked smaller team to work with and have been tweaking throughout friendlies.

I wasn't happy with what i was seeing so started from scratch for my last friendly against Roma!!

Beat them 3-0!! I know its very early stages but thought I'd post it now because I was amazed and it atleast shows potential for the tactic.
