I'm pretty sure that FM's match engine impliments them in game is in the order you've chosen as who is your PM.

So my understanding is, just like in free kicks, corners and pens, it will start from the top and only move down to the next player if that player is not on the pitch.

So to summerise.
Yes you can have more than one PM.
But FM will only use one at a time.

I may be wrong, but i'm sure i've read this on these forums before.

Jamesy i think your right but i have seen people saying differently it would be good if someone could clear this up for certain.

Yes, there can be more than 1 playmaker in the game. I used AC milan with pirlo and kaka as playmaker, it seems that pirlo is the 1st choice playmaker and kaka is the 2nd choice. I've noticed that playmaker always look for the killer pass before a goal, so while defending, pirlo intercepts the ball and made a wonderful pass to gilardino to score. I actually set his passing to short and slow tempo, so he should not be rushing to pass. However, he is the playmaker so he will make a killer pass. For kaka, when i am building up for attacking, he receives the ball often as he is also selected as playmaker, he will also keep trying to make the pass that breaks the defence.

I am currently using man utd with scholes and carrick as playmaker. They both also have many assists and their preferred moves doesn't have look for killer balls often.

Same goes for target man, the 1st choice will e the main target man, but if the 2nd choice is in a much better position, he will get the ball.
