Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Difference between Youth/First team coaching

Can someone tell me what the difference between youth/first team coaches are.

I know they deal with youth and first team () but what stats do they deal in?

with youth coaching the coachhing youngsters attribute is important plus obviusly the ones for coaching he is doing. i.e. i have a goalkeeping coach who's gk = 20 but coaching youngsters is 5, he therefore has only 3 stars for coaching goalkeepers in the youth training but 7 for first team

What attributes do they improve on players though?

Sorry if I didn't make the question clear

This is halfway through the first season, with schedules that focuses mostly on physical attributes(They being a little higher than the technical ones). The total workload on all schedules are on top medium.

Looks like it's mainly strength then?

At least after half a season. Even with one coach that is responsible for both strength and aerobic and the fact that both strength and aerobic has the same amount of workload, its mostly stamina and strength that develops. I find that a bit odd, since the same coach dont get the same results within aerobics..

Strength, stamina and jumping develop a lot through "natural development" (along with training). Acceleration and Pace are much harder to improve. Having a lot of Ability to give (PA-CA difference) may help. Agility and balnce are almost out of the question. Also, physical attributes progression depends a whole lot on the player's professionalism (hidden stat) and the training facilities quality.

I 'm not sure I have understood the question though.

I'm confused

I'm pretty sure my youth team doesn't have a designated GK coach.
I'm sure you have to use the specialised GK coach, mine is a 7 star and that is shown in the first team and youth team coaching regardless of his coaching younsters attribute.
In fact my youth training is nearly all 7 stars, apart from set pieces, and I've only 2 youth team coaches.

This would contradict what your saying, in regards to only getting 3 stars because of his traing younsters attribute only being 5. A 5 would only give you a 2 star rating under normal circumstances.

I'm at work atm so I can't check so I may be wrong. I'll have a look later tonight.

I know they deal with youth and first team () but what stats do they deal in?
Coach – A universal coach, can train both the senior and youth squad.
First Team Coach – Can only train the senior players.
Youth Team Coach – Can only train the youth squad.
Fitness – Can only be applied to ‘Aerobic’ or ‘Strength’
Goalkeeping – Can only be applied to ‘goalkeeping’

They 'deal' with all stats just like your first team, although you can only train your youth players upto a certain lvl of intensity.
