seems held in high regard on these forums. what is anyones thoughts on him. his release clause is only £11mil at real madrid so i might go for him. im everton, 10-11 season, won the treble last season (prem, uefa and fa). thing is i need a lb more and im going for bale. also at madrid, £16mil release clause
Well my personal experience is mixed. As I let him into the first team of ManUtd in 2008 he proved to be slightly inconcistent but heavily improved from then on.
However he could never quite best Vidic or Rio or even Evans. In 2010 however he's probably as good as Terry, his progression was showing promise and I sold him to Barca for £10m + 50% clause in 2009.
However, with that being said I rate this youngster highly and regard him as one of the best young defenders in the game (Dani and the DC of Boca might be slightly better though..)
If he's valued at £11m I believe that's a steal. Get him.
After three seasons with QPR i got he Man U job. Pique became a regular fixture in my team, he was put alongside Johnny Woodgate and made sure Rio Ferdinand stayed on the bench.
Easily one of the top 5 defenders in the game, well worth the money
I had him and Micah Richards as CBs in my last Liverpool save and he was immense.
The only downside to him is that he seemed to get unsettled easily which was a good thing when I bought him (got him for a fair price) but no so good when he wanted a new challenge after about 5 years with me.
