This is my squad (beginning of 2008, transfer window):
GK: Bas Roorda, Benoit Costil
Def: Svejdik, Bruno Silva, Kruiswijk, Lima, Sankoh, Tioté, Pulhac.
Midfield: Jean, Saarinen, Guarin, Fledderus, Levchenko, Bechan, Lovre, V. Hleb, Lebohang Mokoena.
Strikers: Koen van de Laak, Luis Suarez, Jack Tuyp, Siani and Nevland.

I just spent my entire budget on Michael Schmoller. Do you think this was a good idea? Because I think my defence is the weakest and especially the LB and RB positions. Ofcourse Jean en Saarinen can play in the LB position.
I've also got Chavdar Yankov and Kiril Kotev incoming.
I've got my doubts about Michael Schmoller, because his mental stats are so low. Ofcourse he's only 18, but still, will he live up to the hype?

Signing Schmoller was good as he is a class act, how much did you spend on him?

As for strengthening your side, i think your CBs look decent as Kruiswijk is excellent and Tiote is decent as well. I think ou could strengthen upfront though as i rate Tuyp highly but i dont rate van de Laak at all. As for Suarez, he has only got good since he joined Ajax, before that he was poor. Siani and Nevland aren't the best.

Tell me how much ou have left and i will try and give you some strikers to sign.

I've got no transfer budget left. I bought Tioté for 300k after having him on loan for the first two seasons and I spent the remainder on Schmoller. I had to give them a 50% of next transfer clausule though, so I hope I can keep Schmoller at the club for some years.
There's still about 2m on the balance and if I keep making profits I should get some millions next year. I'm losing Cornelisse, Bechan and Van der Linden so I should be able to keep under my way budget decently. I hadn't used Nevland much last season, but I kept him for 2 years for backup. Van de Laak is doing a pretty good job, mainly because he's my only left footed striker, the rest are all right foot only. Siani has also been getting a fair share of goals.
I think currently my weakest links are Svejdik and Sankoh. And ofcourse I should find some good replacements for Fledderus and Lovre, which I think I should be able to get (once I have the money).
I missed out on signing Barreto on a free transfer, because the board would not allow me to offer a higher wage. A couple of days after him signing for another club they did

Also, I can't seem to be signing Srna on a free transfer, eventhough he is on a month to month contract. Any idea why?

try to loan abenzoar from lyon great young defender, also benzerga may come on loan (forgot which team though)

schmoller is an ace defender imo you should be able to sell him to a big team within a couple of years

your reputation is probably too low for him to consider, maybes try offering him the best contract your able including top class bonus's, if he still doesnt accept then my theory is right. best thing to do if you really want him is try again in the next transfer window, your rep usually changes slightly by then (if you done good)

No that's not it. He's extremely interested in joining my club and when I declared interest he got properly unsettled, was flattered etc and now he doesn't want to sign a contract with Shakhtar anymore. Also he's angry at his club for not letting him go to Groningen.
His contract has pretty much expired and on month to month now. No idea why I can't sign him.

not a bad team good potential i think u should target the american market or brazilian market for players as they would work out a lot cheaper to buy for u. their are some fantastic player who would benefit ur team it is just a question of having the finances to do so

The Bosman Rule(players leaving on free transfers after their contracts expire) dosn't apply to the Ukraine
