FM 2007: Wycombe Wanderers - Chairboys' Barmy Army!
Wycombe Wanderers Football Club is the heart and soul of football in Buckinghamshire and has been a league club for over 10 years. They were promoted into football league in 1993 when they won the Conference and FA Trophy double under the management of Martin O’Neil. Their most famous moment came in 2001 when they reached the semi final of the FA Cup whilst in the old division 2. The team, managed by now Northern Ireland manager Lawrie Sanchez, narrowly lost 2-1 to Liverpool. That cup run hindered their push for promotion from the league and were relegated to League 2 in the season of 2003/04. The last two seasons in the bottom division of the football league saw them fail to climb back up to League 1, but they were close last season when they reached the play-offs.

hi guys - i'm onto season 2 now with wycombe (just checked in and saw this chairboys thread). i am about 3/4 of the way through season 2 in league 1 now (i took the league 2 title and jpt trophy in my first season). i am in 3rd in league 1 now, with a semifinal south defeat in jpt to millwall and a fifth round FA cup exit to Chelsea! (Drogba and Lampard combine for 3 goals in five minutes but we settled in for a 3-0 loss)
i've transfered out almost my whole original squad now. only stefan oakes and jamie young left over from the original first team. i will post my new squad later if i get a chance...
