get far with it, hom3r?

jonahno6: well done on getting grant back, was that on a free?

can't comment too much on all your teams though as i've not the best idea of those players, although i recognise a lot of the players from real life so they seem good squads from that point of view.

sounds like you're all getting some good success with wycombe, which is great obviously. can't say i'm not suprised that most/all of the original squad is gone, although i'd have thought people may have kept the likes of stockley, bloomfield, torres and possibly betsy.

Hi all
into second season with Wycombe after running away with the league 2 tittle we are somewhat struggling at the start of our league 1 campain. We are currently sitting in 18th after 13 games. managed to win 2 draw 8 and lose just 3. Happy with theamount of losses just think we need to start turning draws into wins and for that to happen need to keep out the goals. scored 12 goals so far but concided 13 which is where the problem lies with the draws. We are not expected to win many games so teams will come at us as i expected but Jamie Young has just not been the same player in league 1 as he was last season in league 2. He was one of the best players in league 2 last year and i was not expecting a drop in form. Managed to get the bank account well into green but not alot of money to spend on transfers. Need to start winning as i have gone 10 without now and i cant rememeber what it feels like to get 3 points.

Kev

you need to change your tactic to a more counter attacking style, because like you said, teams are going to attack you. therefore, make your tactic more defensive and tick the counter attack. raising the tempo and passing should help as well.

keep the tactic you're currently using though, because there's going to be games where you're the favourites so teams won't attack you as much so the counter attack won't be as effective.

try to sign marriott from lincoln. not only just because he had a beast of a game against wycombe IRL yesterday, but he is a very good keeper. i scouted him and my scout said he's good enough for league one.

anyone get a parent club? spurs are mine, but could have also choosen west ham or palace.

I'm gonna start with Wycombe now. I've always thought the key to success in League 2 is premiership loan signings. Any good free signings for Wycombe? How much money do you get to spend?

you should get £10k, which isn't very useful.

should have posted this in the initial post, but the main areas to strengthen are in defence and upfront.

a couple of DCs are needed as i don't rate antwi much although williamson is good. martin can be trained to DL too. a good buy is ryan garry from arsenal on a free

as for STs, then i recalled griffin from loan and signed matt harrold on a free. these two were my main target men and did very well. mooney's still good, but easter is terrible compared to what he is like IRL, which is very annoying. i loaned martin paterson from stoke and he's done well.

a left winger is useful as well, but DCs and STs are the priority IMO.

Get Eddie Stanford on a free at the start for the left he was class in the first season although he had a bad injury still gave the goods when he got back. sold him to preston for a nice profit of £150 and Brian Stock. was happy with that as i thought Stock looked the better player on paper he has not played to bad average of 6.94 which is not bad for a club hovering above regelgation.
