I'm Newcastle approaching the end of the first season. Had a bank balance of £30m+ athe beginning of the season and I've only spent £18mil net since then. My problem is I'm paying out more than I'm getting in and I'm losing money rapidly each month.

Other than selling high wage earners is there any other way I can save money, or alternatively get more money in?? I know you get ots from Chinese or US affiliates but my board will only offer me Shamrock Rovers or some sh!te like that!

sadly, the only options would be to a) reduce your wage bill, b) get a decent feeder team, c) have a decent cup run b) ask for a stadium expansion which might help a small ammount. You really are limited, so I'd suggest just selling a few players, newcastle have lots of fringe players, so it shouldn't be that hard. If your worried about squad size, then you can always replace them with youngesters with lower wages.

I've had the same problem mate with Newcastle but mine was towards end of 3rd season. Luckily I got money at end of season for CL run and Prem position plus I got taken over. But got same problem halfway through 4th season. I'm £10m in debt and unable to sell players but i think im losing money because of clauses in players contracts because wages arent that high.

My squad is thin on the ground to start with. I may have made a huge mistake by selling Martins instead of Owen I reckon. Owen's on £100k a week with a £10k goal bonus. He's knocking them in for fun at the minute the little barsteward!!

I reckon I'll flog him at the end of the season (only 8 games to go) I have Vagner Love, Eddie Johnson and Aaritalo as well as Smith and also young Carroll is a beast as well.

try and sign nakamura and sell smith and owen.

nakamura will boost your shirt sales and will bring in publicity and money fom his home country.

also he wont ask for ridiculous wages like owen

i'm playing as arsenal in my game and after reading this thread thought i'd check on the magpies... low and behold they were struggling financially, so i put a cheeky 10mil bid in for owen(14mil valuation) and got him, and he signed for 50k pw, result!!! cheers
