Started out as it should be: right at the bottom!
It was touch and go at the start, the chairman was not really impressed and had to take some stick from the media... but it worked out in the end, and relegation was avoided.
Then over the next two seasons, a few shrewd moves and promotion was gained.
Now then: some players (I'll not mention any names) who were quite happy playing in the conference north, feel that they should be rewarded with a new contract! although the contract they signed one season ago was good enough for them at the time!!
what to do? I can't start paying them all double wages, and I haven't got the funds to buy new!
will they start to play badly if they are unhappy?
has anyone got any suggestions??
...but think on this. You're a young player playing for a lowly Team. Due to your, and your buddies, putting your head down and getting stuck in your Team gets promoted...
Would you be content to play on for the same wage or would you think you deserved reward for your effort?
"it's all due to our fantastic new manager!
i got by on my wages before, I can do it now... and thanks to all the publicity, girls are throwing themselves at me!"
