I continue to make money for my team through cup games but every now and then in the summer I get Cash injections from the board, why does this happen, am I not making enough money to cover costs? Also, I just won promotion from Conference National to d2 but my wage allowance didn't increase... What's up with that?!

Generally the Board inject cash when the Chairman's loaded and you're doing crap with the financial side of the game.

The wage budget not being increased would suggest that your financial acumen ain't good also

That's not good, I managed to pick up a number of good players in D2 and I am now tipped for promotion (I got 3 Jamaican National teamers dirt cheap) I hope if I get promoted again my wage bill will increase.

I don't get how FM decides the wage budget. I started at my current club (Haarlem, bottom dutch division) over the wage budget of $38k by 6k with 450k in the bank. I sold off my best player so my wages dropped to about 42k but my club expenses were out of whack and with a tiny stadium I knew I'd have problems. I managed to loan a bunch of players and bring in a few frees before the season started. At that point I was back up to 45k/wk wages and a nice bank balance of 2m. The board upped my allowed wages to 40k. Over the course of the season I added one more free and renewed some contracts which had my wages up to 50k/wk and my expenses caused my bank budget to fall every month until it went red in february/march. However my wage budget actually went up in January to 46k. Now the season is ending and my wage budget dropped to 40k while my bank balance fell to -750k by summer since I couldn't sell anybody.

Can somebody explain the logic of the changes in the wage budget? It seems tied to bank balance obviously but doesn't it make sense for it to be connected to overall club income and expenses.

That's the type of thing you should be asking in GQ, m'man. LLaMas don't generally do internal workings of financial matters in the game engine.

I realise that the Cash injections are bad, but If the Chairman is loaded and the team is winning (I'm currently atop d2 Atm) how long will the good graces last... I mean could I be sacked if the team went on a losing streak?

In my 4th season with Worksop, still in the conference north where our best finish was 6th and managed 7th twice in a row now...

I seem to get cash injections each summer. But they're not very much and we're still in the red with little sign of losing the light.

Wish he'd inject that cash into a transfer budget!
