LLM first timer

Hi,

After playing FM non-stop since getting it for crimbo and having too much success in the Premiership, I decided to become a LLM.

After consulting Frank I started out as manager Worksop in Conference North. The board told me they expected me to rebuild the squad over the season. I was giving the sum of £0 to buy in new players & i was over the not too bad wage budget. Things weren't going to be easy.

After selling 6 rejects for the sum of 9k and bringing in 7 new players on free transfers (on the recomendation of my scouts of course) and two teenagers on loan I was well under my wage budget (I found a very ingenius way of doing it).

I am currently at the end of January and sitting in 4th place in the league. The FA cup was disgraceful. The FA trophy was only just better.

Will update at the end of the season.

Was going well until you told us about the ingenius [sic] method of getting under wage budget. I can think of several ways to do that, and only the obvious "sell high earners and sign low earners"* isn't cheating. I'm intrigued...

Er... the main point of the game is realism. I hope you haven't done anything which would be disapproved of here? Now is your chance to repent, or at least to clear your name

Oh, and cups suck arse, anyway. But i'm sure you've worked that one out yourself.

OK, I'll tell only to clear my name.

I simply offered all my players contracts on lower wages but for 2 or 3 times as long as they asked for. Nearly all of them accepted (the ones who didn't were sold).
