Kostis, bear in mind that you just quoted the "guidelines", not the "Rules"
As a general reply to all, though, it's too easy to become bogged down with perceived rules and regulations and not to play the game and enjoy it.
Yes, ultimately, the aim of the LLaMa is to start lowest and progress as his skill, or lack of it, allows. "Enjoy" perhaps isn't the word to use, but it pretty much fits...if struggling with finances, crap players, low crowds, artificially brilliant opposition LL Teams and sitting long into the night with your wife looking daggers at you can be termed enjoyment.
However, it's
always been the case that it will
never be a Rule that you have to start right at the bottom, that if a new guy wants to cut his teeth in League 2 or below (I still reckon the old 2nd Division is pushing it hard enough to expel an elephant through a gnat's arse), then he'll be welcomed no less that a guy who starts at Thurrock.
Let's not get into the habit of excluding potentially decent LLaMas because they don't start in N&S.
Yes, you may advise them that true LLM is played in the lowest league, but don't summarily tar and feather every one.
There are ways to tell if someone's genuinely interested or not.
Second post tells all.
