Well Season 3 was frustrating as hell, i languished at the lower reaches of the conference to March at which point i decided to go an the latest of late charges.
Unfortunately a draw on the last day was the difference between finishing 4th and finishing 7th and once again Exeter missed promotion.
Aftering turning down a move to Colchester with a promise of £500k to spend in favour of a tilt at promotion my loyalty was repaid when a new board took over and £2.8m was made avaialble to spend....
...Now this isnt my ideal situation as i like to build the side myself, although with the way we hammearoage money itll only last a season or two anyway. Still some fanancial security will let me buy some stronger players without the worry of having to sell my best which i have done so far...
Lurvely, isn't it? When the board buy you out of trouble with those injections?
I also had that happen to me on 03/04 LLaMa Clan A and with Exeter as well. There must be something in this team that attracts the investors... Although in my case it was the original chairman who injected the cash.
It felt good but dirty, thank god the savegame was infected and we had to resume from an early point... being the Chelski of the Conference didn't feel appropiate.
