You could do what I do... volunteer for the first couple of late-night baby feedings and play while the little guy sucks down a bottle.... i find a newbord propped on one leg and a laptop on the other really isn't too awkward... short story long, she'll be so happy to get the sleep, she won't care that you're explaining your poor luck in the transfer market of a video game at length to your child at 3am...

...you'll need a baby for this, by the way...
