I have always been suspicious about the ambigious tactics sliders.

DMs with 0 mentality and 0 long shots often run forward to take long shots. My Goalie with instructions to distribute ball quickly to the wingbacks often just kick up the ball only to lose possession.

There is no also way the game could even finish and possibly not start, because theres nobody there to even kick-off for Livorno 58 times.

It wasn't programmed to deal with a team playing with no players I'm sure, but I do see the point now that it is interesting as to where these stats came from.

an attacking player can only be offside when he stands between the last defender and backmost player on the field, most of the times the goalkeeper, at the moment of passing. since their isn't any player on the field they cant be offside.

uh... as long as the players are behind the ball they can't be offside. simple really.

there are far more serious questions about the match engine arising from this bug than the offside issue. would REALLY like someone to try and explain the livorno stats and quite how inter managed to have 18 shots off target, as well as who took the kick offs, goal kicks, free kicks and throw ins for livorno.

as many have been saying for some time - the match engine is completely and utterly broken. the bug itself is forgivable (as it sounds as if it's quite rare), what it proves really isn't.

Yesterday one of my strikers had 10 two times. In first match he scored 4 goals, next time 7 goals. But with 3 goals he only gets ratings of 9. But he is not god, in those matches he had 7-8 offsides, and he is not prolific in passes and other match features. Only scores :p

Watch the pkm to see how those things happened. The game created invisible players who can take throw-ins and occasionally pass the ball or block shots etc. just so the game could be played. I believe this could actually be proof that the game engine does interfere with game itself to change/influence results. Also like I mentioned before, I watched the match for a certain amount of time and especially the possession is way off, even with invisible players around. So the stats seem to be lying too. Behold the artificial intelligence that will take over the world 50 years from now. To think it all started with a management simulation...

I just watched the saved match and it was not really a replay so much as an entirely different game...

Only 37-0 (as if that is a bad result..) and Inter this time with only 2/3 shots on target!

Is this a bug (that the replays don't represent the match) or did I watch the wrong game?
