And yes there are alot of negative feedback regarding bugs and SI, there is also just as many messages saying leave SI alone, or just be patient, so i think its a bit of both to be honest..
| They have the right to express their opinion, it's just after you hear the same opinion expressed by the same people on every possible occasion every 5 minutes, you first get bored and then annoyed.
Honestly, I would never think of saying anything here if not for the fact that every time I look into the GD forum these days, these discussions, often featuring the same people, just run round in circles, repeating the same complaints. This is not the Senate, and neither of us is Cato the Elder; hopefully, the patch will be here soon, and in the meantime you can still play FM 2007 (or FM 2006, like I do) if you are not happy with the current state of FM 2008.

I bet people who say this would be the first to complain if the game was delayed coming out.
Plus it is impossible to test the game on the same scale as occurs when it s released to everyone </BLOCKQUOTE>
Then don't make the demo gold? They'd have ironed out a few bugs before release if the demo wasn't the same as the actual game.

Nope that's a logical fallacy.
Let's take the following example :
SI announce the game will be released on 1/1/09. That eliminates most (obviously some stupid people will persist) of the "where is our game" threads.
The game is near perfect out of the box, barring the odd obscure bug, therefore no "where is my patch" threads.
Come 1/1/09 the forum will just be full of lots of "this is how my game is going" threads.
Is that too hard to fathom?
FM is, apart from the Sims, pretty much the largest selling PC game on the planet so it's not like SI are fumbling down the sofa for a couple of coppers.
VB
| See what you're saying but i suspect the publication of games is a little more complex.
Maybe SI have signed a contract with Sega to release at certain time or so many in a space of time. Recording artists do a similar thing, remember the George Michael vs. Sony affair.
I expect if you've spent years developing a game like these guys, the last thing you want to do is release a version that isn't ready. I expect for some reason that we will never know they had no choice in releasing at the time they did.

| I would say you are probably right. Hard as it sometimes is, ours is not to question why :>.

And this is what my main objection is directed against; and, I guess, not only mine.
| I understand that as someone who works on the some aspect of the game you get annoyed when you see the forum filled with mostly negative feedbacks and complaints towards the game. However, it does not help either to hijack threads (such as this one) and turn it into a 'anti-moaning' thread of your own (starting from the 11th post of this thread which was irrelevant to the topic and non constructive). You can not change what people do, you can not change what people think, you can not change the 'look' of the forum or the 'face' of SI and you can not change the fact that fm08 is a big disappointment in the eyes of many posters here.
As you mentioned the bugs forum, I suggest you take a serious look at the the known issues list and tell me how my original 'at least 5 gamebreaking bugs' was moaning instead of stating the obvious fact. Of course it depends on what you think is 'gamebreaking' or what you call 'playable'. For that I quote White Raven from this thread:
'If you don't care about winning or losing 6-5, 9-2, 6-3, don't care about getting sacked for no good reason, don't care about crazy transfer prices or players not closing down when you ask them to - or the other 100 major bugs reported, then fair enough it's playable.
If you want to play an accurate, intelligent, responsive football simulation game, it's unplayable.'
