Perhaps they should have taken their time with the actual game then there wouldn't be such demands for a patch.
|
I bet people who say this would be the first to complain if the game was delayed coming out.
Plus it is impossible to test the game on the same scale as occurs when it s released to everyone

| Well said!!! </BLOCKQUOTE>
Perhaps I should search these forums to the posts from the last few days before (1) the demo was released (2) the release date was announced. I wonder how many moaners then and now would actually be the same people [wonders...].

| Exactly what I was thinking when I was reading the initial post.
Anyway to be forward looking, yes I'd rather SI take another 2 weeks and make a patch that fixes most bugs. If instead they rush it and release a half-finished 'final' 8.0.1 patch (after a half-finished product), we will be all waiting for another 2 months for a 8.0.2. Of course if that is the case, i will not buy fm09 or the fm series on release ever again.

Ant, Of course everyone wanted the game as soon as possible, but that should not mean we have to have the level of errors in the game, we did still pay for the game.

In the hands of the young or underdeveloped, "impatience" is a blunt weapon they use to bash Sigames over the head with.

| 90% of PC games have some sort of bugs at release simple because it's not possible to test the game to the same extent it is tested when it is released.
At lease SI listen to their customers and are prompt with fixes.
The games more than playable in it's present state

But Vimfuego... we should not have to worry about those issues, that is what SI get paid for. The only thing we should have to worry about is who we are going to sign, or how to avoid relegation, bu at present we are more concerned about is our game going to be spoiled by a bug.
| I agree to some extent, but again criticizing something we know nothing about doesn't make sense.
I guess i'm just trying to be positive, as to be honest am getting bored of the amount of negativity around here. Far too many unconstructive posts.
If we're not careful these forums won't be taken seriously anymore, by SI or anyone wanting to discuss the game contructively!!

| People wanted to play the demo and eagerly anticipated the actual release because they had confidence in SI that the game would be at least playable. When the demo/game was released, we have realised that SI failed us, they released a game that was half finished and contained at least 5 game breaking bugs on initial release. Some bugs could be noticed by a player in 1 hour playing the game yet were not identified by SI's testing. Our confidence/faith in SI was thus significantly lowered. It is our right to complain, it is SI's obligation to ensure the quality of their products, it is amusing to see a 'head translator' calling people with genuine interest in/complaint with the game/patch "moaners".
