PSG will be back (maybe)

I know this topic has been discussed extensively for previous versions of FM, but did not find anything on FM08 (I just did a simple search though...)

So in my first season:
Champion's League final: Man Utd-Chelsea
European Championship winner: England

So ok, English clubs are good and a Man Utd-Chelsea final could happen indeed...Can't say the same about the national team, can you?
I mean, apoligies to all English readers, but when was the last time, the national team won anything?

I will monitor what happens in the second season... So far, I find it a bit amusing. I suspect I'll find it a bit less amusing when my non-English team gets trashed against Fulham or Everton if my next European campaign

England have won mothing so far in my game, and Barca have won European Cup 2 the last 2 times.
The dominant teams in Europe are (in no particular order):
Man U
Chelsea
Arsenal
Real Madrid
Barca
Juve
Inter

So all the teams are from England, Spain and Italy, just like in real life then

CL has went Inter, Lyon, Inter in my game and no English team ever in the final.

The national team is really poor and failed to qualify for 08 and didn't get through groups in World Cup 2010.

PS. We all know when they last won something, we're constantly told about it. It's Newcastle syndrome, thinking they are big but never really proving it.

I have had games where England become ridiculously good to and the clubs also dominate the European tournaments. Im not to sure why this is though, maybe it is because you are playing in the English league?

In saying that, the past 3 finals have included an English team and there is usually about 3 of them in the quarters and 2 in the semis so maybe this is the future.

On my FM07 saves, it's usually one (and sometimes two) from the "Big four" in England in the CL final.
I don't play FM08 so I wouldn't know about that.
