When I go to save my game the screen goes blank and takes me back to my desktop and a window appears saying game could not be saved.
I cant find any of my previously saved games either.

Your saved games should be in your my documents folder (or documents if your using vista). If they are not there then something or someone has deleted them. Does anyone else have access to your computer? If they do I would suggest running a spyware and virus scan to see if anything turns up as the problem may be caused by something someone has downloaded.

Unfortunately unless you have a backup then the only thing you can do is reinstall FM if thats required and start again.
