Default Shortest Managerial Career

After finding out Big Sam got sacked after 24 games in charge.

I was wondering the shortest time you have been with a club in FM?

My shortest one was with Millwall, I resigned from Arsenal looking for a new challenge, I decided to holiday and ticked 'Apply for high reputable jobs' thinking it will apply for Premiership teams and wait for my response before accepting!! How wrong was I!

But somehow I became manager of Millwall, I wasnt even aware of it as I was in the john! After coming back from holiday I resigned, leaving the club after 14 days!!

They were in League One at the time, despite being on holiday as manager of Millwall, they managed to climb out the relegation zone and make it to the League Cup semi final!!

Anyway anyone resign after a day in charge?
Get sacked after one match?

Person with shortest time at a club on FM......gets a beer!

"senationally quits just hours after taking the job"

Accidently chose to manage the wrong team once, retired instantly and thats the message (or something similar) you get.

In one of my crashed saves on 08 I played coventry in the league and smashed them 4 - 1 and Dowie was sacked, played them again a few days later in the cup and beat them 7 - 0 and their manager was sacked after only 2 days in charge, then the third manager lasted about a week before getting sacked

Was managing Rugby utd, but wasn't really enjoying it, so applied for all avaliable premier league jobs (I had had pevious sucess at this level, and my rep was still quite high).

I joined everton, and was shocked when I realised they were only payin me 1k/week (Rugby Utd were pying me 47k/week in the conference south).

After 3 days at the club, Arsenal responded to my application. Still seething, I left to join them instead.

The media message was allong the lines of 'his heard wasn't really in it'

I think I left the club in a better position than I arrived.

I had hours at Croatia or some other E Europe on 2007,they had no goalkeepers in national pool so it seemed silly!

on 05 whenever I got sacked and went on holiday with the apply for jobs function on but the first time I did this I forgot to set the option to return from holiday when I had a job, so I returned from holiday manually at Palermo, and when I looked at my history some time later I saw that during that time on holiday I saw i had become manager of Stoke then resigned that very same day to join Palermo. I never saw how many hours but it can't have been many if I joined and left the same day.

How is that a bad thing?

A) The money you earn as a manager doesn't matter
B) It frees up plenty of cash to pay your players

Whats the problem?
