Where do I put kits and logos once downloaded? and don't say the data/graphics thing because I can't find it I've got cache, but the only other folder in it is english

In here: CProgram Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2006\data\graphics\pictures, not in the SI folder in your documents folder.

The kits haven't loaded in the game and where do I put the balls and the load all players from files?

Have you turned the skin cache off and reloaded the skin?

Balls go here: CProgram Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2006\data\graphics\pitch\balls

Not sure about the load all players files.
