DDT files with editor

Right, I made my own ddt file with the DDT Generator and I had no choice but to put the file in in data/db/700 wich is the default db. Thing is, you cant make changes in the default without saving another db, but my edited db is not to be found in data/db! I've fixed some stuff like positions and renamed Ia Roper to Ia Roper etc, and I would like my ddt file with my own edited db, as it seem impossible to edit the default db and save it without saving your own db.
