I made the mistake of starting my first career in FM2007 without editing competition names. In the previous editors any changes you made to competition/award names appeared in saved games. I've edited some of them now but they don't appear in my saved game. Will I have to start a new game and select the new database for these changes to appear or is there any way to make them alter in my saved game. I can't face playing my existing career with Euro Cup and all that nonsense but am loath to have to satrt a new career. Also, when i've gone back to re-edit my edited database I can't alter it - is it not possible to change an edited database once it has been saved?

It does work.

But I guess you have to edit the DB you started the game with. It won't work if you used Default DB and then edit and save it as Edited DB. Guess it's gonna read from the DB you selected at game start.


And if I'm not mistaken I've heard that the default DB can't be saved to. So just copy the files from your saved DB from Documents to where the original is located in the game folder.

You can make a LNC-file. To change a leagues name use the following command:

"COMP_NAME_CHANGE" "Unique ID" "New Name"

Save the file with the extension .LNC and put it it in the "data\db\700\lnc\all"-folder.

All this can also be done with players, teams, awards etc.
